Shillong, Jun 6: The Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Foundation’s Meghalaya unit organised an event at the R. B. Anupchand Hindi Secondary School in Shillong, aimed to promote talent and inclusivity among students, particularly those with disabilities and special needs.
Several competitions to encourage creativity and expression, including a model competition, craft competition, essay writing, self-composed poetry, extempore speech, quiz, and an art competition were conducted.
Ramsakal Sahani, Director of CRC Shillong acknowledged the efforts of the foundation in ensuring inclusive education. He emphasised the importance of providing platforms for disabled and special children alongside their peers, appreciating the organisation’s commitment to nurturing their talents.
State President, Falguni Chakraborty nspired students to participate actively in future events and aligned her message with the visionary thoughts of Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam.
