Shillong, Jun 6: The National Academy of Broadcasting and Multimedia (NABM), the apex human resource development training academy of public broadcaster Prasar Bharati, organised a three-day training programme on ‘Accounts and Procedures’ at the Regional Academy of Broadcasting & Multimedia, RABM Shillong, from June 3 to 5.
Twenty-six participants including Assistants, Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) and Administrative Officers from various kendras of Akashvani and Doordarshan across the North Eastern states participated in the training.
The programme covered key rules for processing and payment of various claims, Children Education Allowance (CEA), leave encashment, allowances and advances for government servants. It also addressed e-tendering, medical claims, security deposits, payments to firms, leave rules and pension rules.
The resource persons included Sukhjeet Singh, Haobam Purnachandra Singh and Thomas Sebastian.
The training concluded with a valedictory ceremony yesterday. The programme was formally closed by course director Sukhjeet Singh in the presence of Anthony War, Head of Office/Cluster Head, Akashvani Shillong; Lucy Mary Malngiang, Programme Executive, RABM Shillong; and Grace Temsen, Assistant Engineer, Akashvani Shillong.
Addressing the participants, the dignitaries stressed the importance of adhering to sound financial procedures and expressed confidence that the training would enhance operational efficiency across kendras in the North East. Certificates were distributed to all 26 participants.
