Shillong, May 31: Residents battling back pain, joint aches and mobility issues got free medical help at their doorstep on Saturday as the Rotary Club of Orchid City Shillong set up a physiotherapy camp at Laitumkhrah Bazaar.
Run with Elite Physiotherapy Clinic, the camp saw Dr I Synnah and her team examine patients, offer consultations and start preliminary physio sessions on the spot. The team also gave ultrasonication therapy and taught custom exercises for individual conditions.
Organisers said the goal was to push awareness on physiotherapy and preventive care while making treatment accessible for musculoskeletal problems that often go untreated due to cost or access.
The Rotary Club said in a press release that similar outreach camps are planned to bridge gaps in pain management and rehab services in Shillong.
