Shillong, May 13: Meghalaya were absolutely supreme in their Group A game of the U-20 Men’s National Football Championship 2026 as they walloped Andhra Pradesh 8-1 in Narainpur, Chhattisgarh, today.
Meghalaya had previously beaten Bihar 3-1 on 9 May and Jharkhand 5-0 on 11 May.
Today there were two goals each for Alex Manar (9′, 45′), Mebanlamlynti Masharing (16′, 28′) and Ryan G Kharnaior (48′, 50′) and Phermanbha Lyngdoh (58′) and Sholinstar Syngkli (84′) further added to Meghalaya’s grand total. B Bharath Kumar Reddy (25′) was the only Andhra Pradesh player to score.
Meghalaya’s final group match will be against Rajasthan on 17 May.
