Shillong, Apr 11: The United Christian Forum (UCF) has appointed Toko Teki as its spokesperson for Northeast India.
The UCF, a national-level platform engaged in promoting constitutional values such as justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity, has stated that the appointment is aimed at improving coordination with communities in the Northeast.
Teki is a well-known public figure in Arunachal Pradesh, recognised for his long-standing involvement in social, religious, cultural, and community development activities. His leadership journey spans several decades and includes key roles in student organizations, Christian forums, and sports administration.
Over the years, he has built a reputation as a leader who engages deeply with grassroots communities while also participating in institutional and organizational leadership at the state level.
He has served as president and general secretary of the Arunachal Christian Forum (ACF). During his tenure, he played an important role in strengthening organisational structures, expanding outreach programs, and improving coordination among Christian communities.
Teki also served as spokesperson for the All Nyishi Students’ Union, one of the influential student organizations in Arunachal Pradesh. In 1990, he founded the All Yachuli Students’ Union, an important initiative aimed at creating a structured platform for local youth engagement.
In recognition of his long-standing contributions to public service, the Government of Arunachal Pradesh also awarded Teki a State Gold Medal. The award acknowledged his work in community development, youth engagement, organizational leadership, and social service.
