Clean up racist, communal, casteist backyard

      Editor,

This is in response to the editorial titled “Cultural failure” (February 24).

Perhaps in the concept of the “nationalists”, the geography of India  lies between Delhi and Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Bhubaneswar, Jaipur and Patna only with the Kashmiris being “Pakistanis/ terrorists”, Bengalis definitely “Bangladeshis/infiltrators” with North-Easterners nothing but “Chinese/Chinkies”!

Even if the Angel Chakmas of Tripura had been really “Chinese”; still there lied no reason to kill them for good because at the end of the day all are basically human beings — the ultimate truth and identity of all.

No wonder why great persons ranging from Rabindranath Tagore to Albert Einstein had all along hated the concept of “nationalism” which indeed act as measles of mankind encouraging the zealots to treat themselves as “superior” with the others of course “inferior” who “deserve nothing but contempt and hatred”!

It is high time the utter racists, daring to insult our fellow North-Eastern brothers and sisters or discriminate against persons on the ground of race language religion caste colour or nationality, be awarded strictest of punishment possible by adopting zero tolerance policy to set up an example before the eyes of the Racists and self-declared “Nationalists” and make them aware that they would not be allowed to escape scot-free by indulging in such blatant gross hatred and other divisive agenda.

Last but not the least. Instead of interfering in the affairs of a foreign country and delivering unsolicited moral sermon to them how to treat minorities, Indians must clean up their own Racist Communal Casteist backyard first which scandalously witnesses regular murder of fellow citizens like Nido Taniam (son of Arunachal Pradesh murdered in New Delhi) or Juyel Sheikh of West Bengal (cold-bloodedly lynched in Odisha by branding him “Bangladeshi”)!

Stop this Barbarism which is going on for too long, absolutely unabated, in this self-declared “liberal” country of “values”!
