Shillong, Feb 20: Sowmya Reddy, president of the Karnataka Mahila Congress and All India Congress Committee (AICC) observer, said that the Congress Party is undertaking a thorough introspection to assess its performance over the past decade, aiming to identify areas of improvement and make necessary course corrections.
Addressing reporters here yesterday, Reddy stated that this exercise is crucial as the party prepares for future elections.
She criticised the Bharatiya Janata Party-led central government for what she said were unfulfilled promises and added that Congress leaders have been consistently raising public concerns. The party is meeting citizens directly, listening to their concerns and seeking to build on the support they still enjoy, she stated.
“This is part of a broader strategy to revitalise the party and reconnect with voters,” Reddy said.
