Shillong, Jan 20: Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma inaugurated the Integrated Police Welfare Complex and Counter-Insurgency & Anti-Terrorism School in South Garo Hills District on Tuesday.
The project was conceptualised by IGP Davis Marak, and the Chief Minister praised him for his foresight and leadership.
Sangma said the location is ideal for advanced training in counter-insurgency and anti-terrorism, benefiting officers from Meghalaya and beyond.
He emphasised the need for continuous innovation and training to address evolving security challenges.
The Chief Minister assured that strengthening law and order remains a top priority, with improved infrastructure, technology, training, and manpower.
