Shillong, Dec 30: The Meghalaya roll ball team is participating in the 17th Junior National Roll Ball Championship, being held in Jammu.
The championship has attracted participation from 26 States and Union territories, competing in both boys’ and girls’ categories.
The Meghalaya boys’ team is led by Dawanme George Chyrmang, who has been appointed as captain of the squad. Ferrando E Pyngrope is the vice-captain, while Gareth EM Kharbyngar is the goalkeeper.
The other players are Norbert Nongkynrih, Mewanshanlang Nongbri, Adriel BG Shangoi, Reuvendatei Skhem Syiem and Donbor Nongrum, all of whom earned their selection through consistent performances at the state level.
The team is coached by Caldy Nongsiang. The team management is overseen by manager Freedy Marboh. The general secretary of the Meghalaya Roll Ball Association is also present in Jammu to extend support and ensure the smooth participation of the team.
