Shillong, Nov 24: The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of Meghalaya Police arrested a suspected drug peddler from Umpling and seized 22.83 grams of heroin.
The accused, Pynshngain Kharkongor of Lumdeingmet, was driving a white Swift Dzire with registration number ML 05 R 9778 when he was intercepted by the team.
Police said he was arrested while preparing to deliver the drug concealed in two soap cases.
A case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered, and the vehicle along with the contraband has been seized.
