Shillong, Nov 18: The Office of the Director General, Assam Rifles Laitkor handed over eight solar street lights to Iatreilang Foundation, an NGO based at Nongrum Mawphlang, East Khasi Hills district under its Civic Action Project 2025–26.
The solar lights will be installed across Nongrum village to improve visibility, safety, and overall community welfare.
A function was held at the Community Knowledge and Resource Centre today which was attended by Advisor of the foundation Tambor Lyngdoh, along with staffs from Assam Rifles and members of the local community.
The foundation has extended its gratitude to Assam Rifles Director General Lt. General Vikas Lakhera for his continued support and meaningful contribution towards the upliftment of the community.
