Shillong, Oct 21: A one-day workshop on ‘Quality Statistics and Data for Everyone’ was organised by Sankardev College today to observe World Statistics Day.
The aim of the programme is to promote the importance of reliable, high-quality and inclusive data in decision-making and sustainable development.
Eminent speakers shared their perspectives on the applications of Statistics to daily and professional life, as well as its vital usage in decision and policy making.
The resource persons were Dr Rapbor Laloo, District Immunization Officer, Health Department, Mayfreen Ryntathiang, President, Grassroots and Santosh Sunar, Director, Be the Guide.
Altogether, about 200 students from different schools of Shillong participated in the workshop sponsored by the Meghalaya Cooperative Apex Bank.
