Shillong, Oct 18: The Inter-Zone Knockout Football Tournament, organised by the Quincentennial Jubilee Celebration Committee of Hima Nongkhlaw, concluded today at Kynshi Zone.
The tournament featured eight participating zones, with Mawphanain emerging as the winner after defeating Bynther 3-0 in the tiebreaker.
The final match between Mawphanain and Bynther was held at Kynshi Zone, with both teams showcasing their skills. After the game ended in a draw, Mawphanain won the tournament in the tiebreaker.
The winning teams from each zone will now compete in the Quincentennial Jubilee Championship Cup, which will be held at Dom Mawlum Ground, Pyndengumiong.
The tournament was held to mark the 500th Anniversary of Hima Nongkhlaw.
