The Department of Social Work at Kristu Jayanti College (Autonomous) in Bengaluru conducted an awareness session on the topic ‘The Power of Knowledge, Learn Today, Lead Tomorrow’.
Around 50 children participated under the guidance of resource person for the day, Tiju M Varghese, a social worker at Mar Thoma Opportunity School, Bengaluru. The student coordinators were Alan Tom, Dhaniya KH, Komal Yadav, Akash Mathew and Ibashisha Lakhmie from the Department of Social Work.
The programme aimed to highlight the importance of discipline, cleanliness and education to the children from the community in Sanjay Nagar, Marathahalli, Bengaluru. To make the event more special, the student coordinators distributed gifts to the children, including chocolates, notebooks and pens.
