The All Meghalaya 4th Teachers Association, Garo Hills unit, met Chief Minister Conrad Sangma in Selsella today regarding enhancement of salaries.
The fourth teachers are pushing to be paid Rs 20,493 like their peers, an increase from their Rs 12,000 salaries at present.
This has been a long-pending demand, one that has been studied by the government but which has seen unsatisfactory movement, at least according to the teachers.
