Four hundred healthcare workers in Meghalaya tested positive for Covid-19 in the past fortnight, Health Department figures reveal, with 207 of those infections occurring in the last week.
That works out to an average of 28.57 per day, though most (265) have been recorded in East Khasi Hills.
As frontline workers, those in the healthcare service are at great risk of catching the virus and are thus a priority group when it comes to vaccination.
Tuesday saw the single highest increase, with 50 healthcare workers testing positive that day.
