Four persons stealing diesel were caught red-handed by a mobile tower technician at Rangblang Nongbah in South West Khasi Hills, police said today.
The accused identified as Batskhem Lyngdoh Lyngkhoi (23) of Mawhati Nongdihar, Ri Bhoi, also a driver of a maxi cab (ML10 A 3387), Baseisoh Syngkli (19) of Umdihar, Ri Bhoi, Michael Basaiawmoit (24) of Mairang, EWKH and Pynroikupar Wahlang of Mawshut.
According to police the technician caught the four accused stealing 20 liters of diesel from a Jio mobile tower yesterday at around 7:50 pm.
A case has been registered at Mawkyrwat under section 380/34 IPC and investigation is on.
