The Ri-Bhoi Youth Federation (RBYF) honoured 26 SSLC and HSSLC students who excelled in the 2023 MBOSE examination.
The ceremony was held yesterday with Shillong MP Vincent Pala the chief guest alongside Nongpoh MLA Mayralborn Syiem, Umsning MLA Dr Celestine Lyngdoh, Umroi MLA Damanbait Lamare, RBYF president Bipul Thangkhiew and others.
The felicitated students received certificates and cash awards to further encourage them in their pursuit of higher education.
Pala and the MLAs commended the initiative, noting that the recognition not only inspires academic pursuits but also instills motivation in the youth of Ri-Bhoi to strive for higher education, envisioning them as the builders of a prosperous district across all spheres of life.
