There were two new Covid-related fatalities in Meghalaya today, along with 22 new cases and 28 recoveries.
One death was in West Garo Hills and the other in West Khasi Hills. Both were unvaccinated, the Health Department informed.
East Khasi Hills recorded 19 new cases, Ri-Bhoi two and West Garo Hills one.
East Khasi Hills also accounted for 15 recoveries, West Garo Hills 10, West Khasi Hills two and East Jaiñtia Hills one.
There are now 255 active Covid-19 cases in the state. East Khasi Hills alone accounts for 193 active cases, Ri-Bhoi 17, West Khasi Hills 14, West Garo Hills 13, East Garo Hills eight, West Jaiñtia Hills five, East Jaiñtia Hills three, South Garo Hills one, South West Garo Hills one, South West Khasi Hills zero and North Garo Hills zero.
In all, Meghalaya has had 84,046 Covid-19 cases, of which 255 are active, 82,327 have recovered and 1,464 have died from the virus.
