The Department of Education at North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) in collaboration with Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, and the Council of Educational Administration and Management (CEAM), inaugurated an international conference on ‘NEP 2020: Teaching, Education, and New Learning Technology’ here today.
The chief guest of the session, Prof Neelima Gupta, Vice-Chancellor of HS Gour Viswavidyalay, Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, emphasised the significance of such conferences in updating knowledge related to teaching and learning, particularly in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Commissioner and Secretary to the state government, Frederick Roy Kharkongor, was the guest of honour.
Distinguished scholars including Prof Chitra Bahadur Budhathoki from Tribhuvan University and Prof Saroj Sharma, Chairperson of NIOS, delivered the keynote addresses during the inaugural session.
Thirty experts from varsities in India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Austria, as well as 200 postgraduate students, research scholars and faculty members will take part, with 150 research papers presented online and offline.
