Two men were convicted of crimes committed against children in West Khasi Hills district, police said.
The Special Judge (POCSO), Nongstoiñ sentenced one Slander Mawlein to 10 years rigorous imprisonment for rape on a minor.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs 30,000. Mawlein committed the crime on December 2018.
The special judge also sentenced one Pynshailin Sangriang to seven years rigorous imprisonment and fined Rs 20,000 for rape of a minor on July, 2018.
