The 11th International Leo Expo was inaugurated at Malki sports club ground today.
The 18-day long event will have participants from Thailand, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan, a statement here said.
“This time more than a hundred stalls with variety of essentials, Company products, attractive and authentic fashion products, innovative decorative items, world class high quality furniture, best quality food and health care product will be available at the expo,” the organisers said.
East Shillong MLA Ampareen Lyngdoh who inaugurated the event observed that the leo expo being a much awaited event, has become a part of Autumn days festivities and life of the hills state.
Headman Prodin Kharmudai, MDC Fantin Joseph Lakadong, Miguel Badwan, President Malki sports club & Secretary Dorbar Shnong, Malki also graced the occasion.
Manisha Hazarika, the renowned singer & advisor of the Leo Expo committee said the event has gone beyond being just an Expo, “Leo Expo, apart from meeting the demands of the people of Shillong, has become the most awaited and anticipated event”.
