The 119 Territorial Army (Infantry Battalion) in collaboration with Regional Blood Center, Pasteur Institute held a blood donation camp aimed to support the local community and bolster the blood supply at the blood bank.
The camp held at Kenches Trace today was also part of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
The camp saw enthusiastic participation from the terriers. This initiative underscores the Territorial Army’s commitment to community service and the importance of blood donation in saving lives, a press statement said.
Commanding Officer Colonel Devashis Nailk expressed gratitude to all donors, stating, “Every drop counts. Today’s donations will play a vital role in providing lifesaving blood to those in need.”
The blood collected will be processed and made available for patients in local hospitals, further enhancing healthcare accessibility in the region.
The 119 Territorial Army plans to hold similar camps in the future, continuing its mission to serve both the nation and its communities.
