In its continued drive against illicit liquor, the Excise Department staff of East Khasi Hills conducted raids in restaurants and stalls in the town and its outskirts where 13 cases were uncovered in November wherein43.700 litres of indigenous liquor and 23.240 litres IMFL were seized.
Eleven people were arrested in connection with these cases under the Excise Act, a press release informed today.
