Shillong, Jun 7: Think India NIT Meghalaya observed World Environment Day through a series of environmental initiatives on June 5.
Over 100 saplings were planted and donated across the campus to promote a greener environment. A voluntary environmental pledge campaign encouraged participants across Meghalaya to avoid electricity consumption by at least three hours per week and avoid fossil fuel use once a week.
An awareness programme was also conducted, highlighting the importance of the 3Rs – Reduce, Reuse and Recycle – for sustainable living and environmental conservation.
