A workshop on ‘Basic Life Support’ with the Home Guards personnel was organised by the Child Friendly Shillong, a project under Bosco Integrated Development Society.
The program held on September 4 at the Central Training Institute of the Civil Defence & Home Guards in Mawdiangdiang, was aimed to provide the personnel with the knowledge and skills to respond effectively in emergencies, especially for children as they are the first person in contact.
The resource persons were the Staff Nurse and EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) from the Office of the District Medical & Health Officer.
