Shillong, Oct 9: Newly-elected Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC), Winston Tony Lyngdoh, today allotted portfolios to the Executive Members.
Lyngdoh kept General Administration, Appointment, Posting and Transfer, Establishment. Trade, Enforcement, Revenue Collection, Arts and Culture, Khasi Traditional Medicine Commission (KTMC) and any other matters not allotted to any member.
Powell Sohkhlet, an existing EM, has been given the responsibility to look after Land, Development and Information & Technology, while Seiborlang Warbah will look after Finance, Taxation and Forests.
Mylliem MDC Aibandaplin F. Lyngdoh Nonglait has been given charge of Health and Sanitation, Solid Waste Management and Education.
Executive Member Deity H Majaw will handle Law and Legal Matters including implementation of Khasi Social Custom of Lineage Act and Rules, Constitutions of Courts, Marriage and Divorce and Town Committees.
Umroi MDC Isynei Hinge will take charge of Water Resources and Fisheries, while, Pynkhrawboklin Kharjahrin, will handle Council Buildings and Council Assets and Building Bye Laws.Denzil Raynard Chen, will handle Elaka Administration and Markets.
