The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued red alerts for two districts in Meghalaya tomorrow.
East Khasi Hills and South West Khasi Hills are likely to experience thunderstorms with heavy to very heavy rain and even extremely heavy rain in isolated areas with gusty winds of 30-40kmph.
South Garo Hills and East Jaintia Hills will be under orange alert (one level down from red) and the rest of the state will be under a yellow alert (one level down from orange).
Weather forecasts are fluid, however, and the IMD may change its advice when it issues a new update tomorrow.
