The Voice of the People Party (VPP) has received of over Rs 1.73 lakh in contributions from the public and sees it as a sign of people’s strength and power.
The contribution was made during a public meeting held yesterday.
“The VPP would like to express gratitude to the supporters of the party, who unhesitatingly contributed to our call for financial contribution. We have received a total of Rs 1, 73,223 and this is a sign of people’s strength and power,” VPP spokesperson, Dr Batskhem Myrboh said today.
“With a great sense of responsibility and commitment, the party assures that people’s common aspirations are served and put forward diligently and sincerely when voted to the Assembly and power,” he said.
He further urged people to join the people’s movement towards achieving the goal of making Meghalaya the state of good governance with public driven administration. “Let us together create history. The party firmly believes in the power of the people and together we can,” he added.
