Irked by the delay to constitute the expert committee to review the job reservation policy, the Voice of the People Party (VPP) today asked Chief Minister Conrad Sangma to complete the process at the earliest.
In a letter to Sangma today, VPP general secretary Dr. Ricky A J Syngkon reminded about the State government notification issued on June 1 regarding setting up of the expert committee.
Syngkon also recalled the information given by Sangma during his meeting with a VPP delegation on July 13 in which he informed that the State government was almost ready to come with a notification regarding the setting up of the committee and that the government was in the process of identifying the chairman of the committee and that the same would be completed within a matter of two-three weeks.
“It has been one month since then and we expect that the government will strive to fulfill the commitment to constitute the committee as soon as possible,” Syngkon said in the letter to Sangma.
