Shillong, Nov 3: The North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO) observed Vigilance Awareness Week across all its offices and projects throughout the country, in line with the directions and guidelines of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) under the theme, ‘Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.
The integrity pledge was administered by Director (Personnel) at NEEPCO Corporate Headquarters and Director (Finance) at NEEPCO Bhawan, Guwahati, in the presence of senior officials and employees. Similar programmes were conducted across all projects and offices, reaffirming the Corporation’s commitment to integrity, transparency, and probity in public life.
During the week, various awareness and outreach activities were organized, including talks, discussions, competitions, and cultural events. A Nukkad Natak (Street Play) on anti-corruption was staged at Doyang Hydro Power Station (Nagaland), and a Walkathon promoting integrity was held at Umrongso, Assam, under Kopili Hydro Power Station. Essay, quiz, debate, and drawing competitions were conducted in schools, colleges, and among employees to promote vigilance awareness.
In addition, training sessions on CTE-type Intensive Examination were conducted for employees to strengthen preventive vigilance measures.
Through these initiatives, NEEPCO reiterated its commitment to fostering transparency, accountability, and a corruption-free environment, contributing to the vision of a “Corruption-Free India for a Developed Nation.”
