The United Democratic Party (UDP) is expected to announce its first list of candidates of the district council elections on December 13.
UDP working president Titosstarwell Chyne said the party has completed 70 per cent of the selection process. “We have finalised most of the candidates but there will be a slight delay in announcement of the candidates from West Jaiñtia Hills due to internal issues in the application submission process.”
Chyne said the UDP aims to contest all seats in the KHADC and JHADC elections even as he stated that its alliance with the HSPDP remains. He added that both the parties will mutually arrive at an understanding with regards to a few seats.
