Two persons were seriously injured after an auto rickshaw they were travelling in was hit by a truck at Nongpoh today.
One of the injured persons has been identified as Pynshngain Marbaniang and name of the other occupant is not yet known. Both were shifted to the Nongpoh Civil Hospital for medical attention.
The incident occurred at around 5 pm. The driver of the truck fled the accident scene.
A case of harsh driving had been lodged and police are on the lookout for the driver.
