The Trinamool Congress (TMC) a replacement candidate today for the Pynthorumkhrah seat at the February 27 Assembly election, along with two other names.
Raymond Basaiawmoit has been chosen to take the place of Samborlang Diengdoh, who quit the TMC on January 24 in order to run as an independent.
The party also named Tengsim G Momin as its new candidate for Savio Phrangsngi Dkhar, though the reason for this change is unknown.
Meanwhile, it was announced that Ajoy Nongrum will contest the East Shillong seat for the TMC.
