The College of Community Science, Tura, organised a training programme on ‘Summer Crop Management and Input Distribution’ in Sulguri village, South West Garo Hills.
The resource person was Priyadarshani P Mohapatra, who spoke about raising of nursery, transplantation and care. Her discussion also focused on pest and disease management remedies.
Summer crop seeds, lemon, banana and papaya saplings, vermicompost and trowels were distributed among 70 villagers and this was followed by a field demonstration.
