More than 30 residents of South West Garo Hills have signed a complaint against two police personnel in the district for alleged high-handedness.
According to the complaint, one police officer, Ibrahim Miah, and an unidentified colleague have used threatening language against vendors, retailers, suppliers, shop owners, customers and passersby.
These officers manipulate the public by taking photos of citizens and their vehicles to put pressure on them, it is alleged. The signatories also claimed that the two drink alcohol while on duty.
The complaint, filed today, has requested the Superintendent of Police to take action against the duo.
