The Directorate of Civil Defence & Home Guards has informed that candidates who qualified for the posts of Guardsman, Driver and NCE (Non Combatant Employee) are to report to the respective district offices in connection with their appointment on November 24-25.
Successful candidates residing in East Khasi Hills and Ri Bhoi District shall report to the District Training Centre Home Guards, Mawdiangdiang, Shillong. Candidates residing in West Khasi Hills and South West Khasi Hills shall report to the District Training Centre Home Guards, Nongstoiñ. Candidates residing in East Jaiñtia Hills and West Jaiñtia Hills district shall report to the District Training Centre Home Guards, Jowai.
Similarly, candidates residing in West Garo Hills and South Garo hills shall report to the District Training Centre Home Guards Tura, while those hailing from East Garo Hills and North Garo Hills shall report to the District Training Centre Home Guards Williamnagar. Candidates residing in South West Garo Hills District shall report to Civil Defence Office Ampati.
The appointed candidate will also have to first undergo COVID-19 test and the date for testing will be communicated to them when they report to the offices mentioned above.
The Basic Training for Guardsman and equivalent ranks and NCE has been fixed to commence from December 1, 2020.
