State police have reported five cases of two-wheeler theft in the state since December 1.
According to police, one Habilstone M Marak lodged a complaint that on December 1 at around 1am, unknown miscreants stole his scooter (ML 08J 1209) that had been parked at Jengjal Sub-Centre in West Garo Hills.
On the same day, one Zabed Umar Sk lodged a complaint that his motorcycle (ML 08K 5041) had been stolen from Jiwali Bazar in the same district.
One Shavian P Blah lodged a complaint that on December 2, at around 1:51am, an unidentified miscreant stole his motorcycle (ML 05AC 6927) from the premises of Majestic Hotel, Polo, Shillong. The incident was captured on CCTV.
On the same day, one Jekius R Sangma lodged a complaint that at about 3am, unknown miscreants stole his motorcycle (AS 27B 7721) from his garage at Baljek A’gal in West Garo Hills.
Meanwhile, one Jonna A Sangma lodged a complaint that on December 2, unknown miscreants stole his motorcycle (ML 08B 5675) from Chiringpara in South West Garo Hills.
