      The State government has appointed senior lawyer E K Kumaresan as the Additional Advocate General in the Supreme Court to represent Meghalaya.

      Kumaresan enrolled with the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu in 1993 and started practising at the Madras High Court and later started appearing in the Supreme Court.
