In a surprise move, the President of the Meghalaya Pradesh Youth Congress (MPYC), Richard Marak, resigned from his post without citing a definitive reason.
In his resignation letter, sent to the national President of the Indian Youth Congress yesterday, Marak said that he had had a great journey in his role but needed to rest. However, he added that he was not quitting the party and will serve the Congress in other roles.
Marak was not available for comment when contacted by this reporter.
