State President BJP Mahila Morcha Sukhi Pariat has condemned the Karnataka incident where a Dalit woman was assaulted and paraded naked saying such atrocious attack on the dignity of women goes against all norms of civilized behaviour and is painful for every right thinking citizen.
Pariat stated, “The incident reflects the plight of defenceless women in Congress ruled states.”
A woman was allegedly assaulted, paraded naked, and tied to an electric pole in Vantamuri village of Belagavi district on December 11 after her son eloped with a girl who was going to get engaged with someone else, according to Karnataka Police.
She said the government of Karnataka needs to take responsibility for encouraging such “lumpen elements and a medieval mind set,” and that the perpetrators must be brought to justice and rule of law must prevail.
“We the women of BJP find it particularly difficult to accept such incidents which have now become signature of every Congress ruled state. Ours is a party that makes a tribal woman the president of India and chooses a tribal as the Chief Minister of a mainland state,” Pariat said.
Stating that the Congress whose “parochial thinking” ensures women and tribals are not safe in areas under their governance, the Mahila president said that the Congress must be taught a lesson in the coming Lok Sabha elections. “As Prime Minster Modi says ‘Congress Mukt Bharat, an India free from Congress, must become reality”, she said.
