The Red Ribbon Quiz Competition 2020, which is part of a National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO) national campaign, was organized by Meghalaya AIDS Control Society from November 10 to 18 and saw participation of 22 colleges from the state.
The goals and objectives of this programme are to actively engage members of the Red Ribbon Clubs in disseminating the information related to HIV/AIDS, adolescent health, mental health and any other public health threat and have them discuss these issues.
The quiz was held in three zones, namely Zone A (Khasi Hills and Ri-Bhoi), Zone B (Jaintia Hills) and Zone C (Garo Hills), culminating in a state-level finale yesterday at Doordardhan Kendra, Shillong. The programme was organized in collaboration with Jaiñtia Eastern College, Khliehriat for Zone B along with Don Bosco College, Tura for Zone C and Doordarshan Kendra, Shillong.
St Edmund’s College, Shillong came first, followed by Martin Luther Christian University, Shillong in second and Don Bosco College, Tura and Sohra Government College, who shared third place.
