St Anthony’s College, Shillong, has been honoured with the prestigious title of the Best College for the National Cadet Corps (NCC) in Meghalaya for the 2023-24 academic year.
The award was presented by the Director General of NCC, Lt Gen Gurbirpal Singh, yesterday at Narengi Cantonment, Assam.
The award was received by Rev Fr Gervasius Nongkseh, Vice Principal of St Anthony’s College, on behalf of the institution.
“This recognition highlights the college’s exceptional dedication and commitment to the NCC programme, fostering leadership qualities and discipline among its students,” a college press release said today.
In addition to the college accolade, JUO (Junior Under Officer) Bansara Marbaniang, representing St Anthony’s College, was also recognised as the Best Senior Wing Cadet of the NCC North Eastern Region for 2023-24.
