The Department of Sports and Youth Affairs in collaboration with Meghalaya State Olympic Association will organise the Sohra International Half Marathon on Wednesday.
The race will begin at 7am from Laitsohpliah village (6km ahead of Mawkdok Bridge) – Lad Mawphlang – Sohra Rim – Mawmihthied – Laitryngew – Khlieh Shnong – Pdeng Shnong – Pomsohmen – Nongsawlia – Saitsohpen – Mawsmai (Nohsngithiang view point) and culminated in Sohra with total distance of 21.0974km.
More than 700 runners have registered for the race, as of Monday.
