Union Minister of Women and Child Development, Smriti Zubin Irani will address the state women’s conference virtually at the State Convention Centre on June 8.
The conference is being organised by the Social Welfare and Women and Child Development department in collaboration with the Meghalaya State Commission for Women under the theme, “Support and Celebrate”.
Women from the state and international arenas, ranging across the domains of entrepreneurship, SHG leaders, academicians, writers, journalist, university students and women who have contributed towards betterment of society at large are expected to attend the conference which aims at celebrating women and generating dialogues towards creating a sustainable and enabling environment for women.
Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma, Social Welfare Minister Kyrmen Shylla will also be present at the conference.
