Bethany Hospital, Shillong, has been recognised as a ‘Centre of Excellence’ under the iCOMPLY 2024 initiative.
This national-level quality programme, spearheaded by the Consortium for Accredited Healthcare Organisations (CAHO), aims to promote patient safety and healthcare quality across India.
The hospital has also received the third-place award for the East Zone. According to a press statement, Bethany Hospital attributes these accolades to its dedicated team’s continuous pursuit of best practices in infection control and rational use of antimicrobials.
The iCOMPLY initiative, supported by Amneal Pharmaceuticals and SafeCare Healthcare Standards, is a quality compliance programme in India. Its primary objectives are to reduce hospital-acquired infections and combat antimicrobial resistance, a pressing global health threat recognised by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
