Helicopter services connecting Shillong and Tura via Guwahati have resumed, according to the Meghalaya Transport Corporation (MTC).
In a release today, the state-owned MTC said that the helicopter services recommenced operations yesterday.
There are two daily flights between Guwahati and Shillong and back Monday to Saturday, while the Tura-Guwahati-Tura service will run once a day on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Each flight costs Rs 2,200 per head. Those flying Shillong-Guwahati-Tura or vice versa will be charged Rs 3,000 per ticket.
On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, the first Guwahati-Shillong flight takes off at 8:30am, with the return journey at 9:10am. The second Guwahati-Shillong flight will then take off at 12 noon, followed by the return flight at 12:40pm.
On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays the afternoon flight is according to the same schedule. However, the morning flight will depart Guwahati at 9:30am and the return journey will leave Shillong at 10:10am.
On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, the flight from Guwahati to Tura will take off at 9:30am and the return leg will begin at 10:45am.
