The Howrah-based Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Foundation will publish an Arabic edition of the book Great Minds on India, authored by Shillong-based writer Salil Gewali.
The translation is currently being undertaken by an Arabic scholar, Mohammad Ramzan Ali Miya, in Qatar, with editing by Hamdan Bin Rashid of Spain, Gewali informed through a press release.
This initiative follows the release of the book’s Urdu edition, which was formally launched by the Governor of Assam in 2023.
Copies of the Arabic edition will be distributed across Arab-speaking countries to promote cultural exchange and showcase the heritage of Indian wisdom.
Furthermore, a Sanskrit edition of the book is also currently being translated by Sanskrit scholar Baldevananda Sagar.
