Former Mawsynram MLA Himalaya M. Shangpliang today said that Meghalaya needed change and that change was possible only through the hands of Prime Minister Modi.
Speaking on behalf of all four MLAs who joined the BJP today, Shangpliang compared Meghalaya with other BJP ruled states in the North East.
He said that the people can see what they are missing out. According to him, Guwahati is the fastest growing city today whereas Shillong and Tura have been left behind.
“Meghalaya needs good roads, good housing policies, good education system, good health system, and overall development and all this is possible only under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” Shangpliang said, adding that all four MLAs have committed to serve the people of the State under the banner of BJP.
Stating that the BJP was growing very rapidly in Meghalaya, Shangpliang said that the people of the State were impressed by the developmental politics of the BJP and Modi.
