The office of the sub-divisional officer Pynursla civil sub division has warned of landslide due to the ongoing road construction from Laitlyngkot to Lyngkyrdem.
In a public notice issued today, the SDO said there is an increased risk of a landslide, more so because of the hill cutting activities which is a prerequisite of the ongoing road construction and coupled with the onset of the monsoon season.
Commuters have been advised to exercise extreme caution while commuting through the stretch by avoiding non-essential travel during or immediately after heavy rainfall, follow all traffic signage and instructions issued by road safety personnel of the implementing agency/company.
Commuters have also been advised to drive carefully and safely, especially near slopes and areas where construction activity is underway.
Public has also been urged to report any signs of land movement or road damage to the office of the Block Development Officer, Pynursla C&RD Block, or the Sub-Divisional Officer (C), Pynursla Civil Sub-Division.
